You have to be or you don't survive. And wearing a mask helps us to reveal only what we're able and willing to to divulge or deal with.<BR/><BR/>Unfortunately, we can outlive our coping mechanisms and they can become obstacles themselves. But I wouldn't trade my ability to "see and size up" for anything. I just also have to remember I can be wrong (not very often, mind you, but it HAS happened :).<BR/><BR/>BTW, you read between the lines over at my site. See? I'm right.
